Bottom of quick pick list

Postby Sbidivuda » Wed Jul 29, 2009 4:49 pm

From excel I need to browse the quick pick list (already loaded with greyhounds races) from the first to the last item and to do this I use vba code inside an excel sheet posting the -1 in Q2 cell in order to advance by one item.
My problem is that I cannot find a way to know when I have reached the last item of the list.
If I post a -1 when already on the last item nothing happen and the code cannot be aware that the he has reached the bottom.
Someone can help me with this ?

Hi,

Maybe you could get your code to examine the event name.....if it doesnt change when you use the -1 trigger then you are at the bottom of the list.

Regards,
Mark

It's what I done but to me does not work.
I've put the race name test in the Worksheet_Change event and if the A1 value differ from its previous value (already stored before the event is triggered) then its a new race, it seems that the Worksheet_Change event is triggered but the A1 value is not changed (it changes after a few seconds) so the test fail.

I've updated the pre-release version 1.1.0.63 to put "L" in cell J3 if the last market is selected or "F" if the first market selected. This should make it easy for you.

You can download it using the following link.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
