Help need with simple trigger

Postby Hanging_On » Fri Jul 10, 2009 5:23 pm

May I ask if anyone can help me with a simple trigger.

If when the race goes "in play" (Cell E2) and the odds (R5) are reached place a Lay bet with a kill or fill of 20 seconds.

I know this is simple but I'm as thick as sh1t.

Thanks

IF(AND($E$2="In Play",F5>=R5),"LAY-F20","")

No problem. Plenty others on here have helped me.

Just hope it works for you......Its those R5 prices that you need to get right of course :)

My trigger for R5 is SP * 0.9 (or 90% of SP) The idea is to lay at below SP in the very early part of race. As long as I steer clear of sprints where a good break is more critical, as well as tracks like Chester. It should give me a value bet in the long term. Should be a laugh anyway :D

Thanks again

No, I think you're right. There are quite a few runners traded at low prices early on so its a good theory imo. Worth trying anyway.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
