UPDATESTAKE

Postby alan » Thu Jul 02, 2009 1:00 pm

Hi, me again!

I would like to try the UPDATESTAKE trigger as it sounds like it would do the trick for my strategy. I am using the LAY-IP trigger to lay a bet at certain odds. Can I subsequently stuff an UPDATESTAKE trigger in the same bet without CLEARing? the already layed bet

Thank you.

Yes, just change the value in the stake column and insert UPDATESTAKE in the trigger column. Be aware that if you increase the stake it creates a new bet and the bet ref column will show the new bet ref with N appended to show it is the new bet. If you reduce the stake then the bet ref does not change.

I have inserted the UPDATESTAKE trigger with a higher stake and the bet reference stays the same. I am running the very latest version (1.1.0.62).

Strange. UPDATESTAKE definitely works. The bet wasn't matched was it?

I have replied to your private message. I think your macro needs checking as it wasn't changing the stake so there was nothing to change.

Sent you a PM, as I think I misunderstand the functionality of the Trigger.

Why doesn't the new bet ref i.e. with N on the end get updated in the MyBets tab ??

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
