Lay Odds 1

Postby alan » Thu Jun 18, 2009 10:31 pm

Why is it that the Lay Odds 1 column stops updating in my Excel spreadsheet when the Market (Horse Racing in this case) is Suspended at the end of the race. The final reported Lay Odds in Bet Assist itself can sometimes show much lower than the odds reported in the spreadsheet. Any suggestions?

I am a new member so be gentle! :D

This has never been reported before so I will have to investigate and get back to you. I'll have to wait for this afternoon's racing to start before I can investigate.

It is almost certainly something I am doing, but I have been through most of the settings. Maybe I misunderstand the way the system works.

I've tried a few races and cannot replicate your problem.

Can you send me a screenshot showing Excel and Betting Assistant with this discrepancy? It may give me some clues. Please send the screenshots to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
