Trigger-SP Bet

Postby throwmeadisc » Fri Jan 30, 2009 2:55 pm

Hi,

Can anyone help me with this please?

If I had made a bet with the Trigger BACK-SP with Odds of 5 and a stake of 10, but only 2.5 stake was matched. Now when the market went in-play the remainder would be matched at SP say at 4.5.

Question is would the SP matched portion be under a different Bet Ref, or will it still be the original BetRef? (ie same as 2.5 matched stake.)

I need to know because I am Just trying to make sure I keep an accurate record of my bets.

Thanks,

Al

Oh and how would Excel handle it if the Bet Ref changes for the SP portion of the bet?

Sorry just thought of that....

Thanks Gary,

So the resulting matched odds in the V column in Excel will be Average matched odds?

What about the BetLog, or MyBets.... Will that be Averaged Matched Odds too?

Just want to make sure I am clear on how it is recorded.

Cheers,

Al :)

Yes, it will be average matched odds and also in MyBets except when it is partially matched in which case MyBets will contain two entries, one with status F for the matched portion and one with U for the unmatched portion.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
