Auto select markets at specif. time

Postby mellenec » Sat Oct 13, 2007 3:26 pm

I'd like to set the value to 0, so that the next market is run just at the scheduled off of the current one,
but it seems not to be accepted.
Any ideas?

THe clock seems to be in sync with your pc clock so you could push that forward 1 minute and set the timer to 1 minute

smart idea. I'll probably do that, but I wonder why BA couldn't do it.

0 will switch to the market at the scheduled off (assuming your PC's clock is set correctly) and always has worked that way. There must be some other problem you are experiencing. Do you get error messages or does nothing happen at all? Does it fail completely or does it work sometimes?

Hang on - I'm confused now... I'm only just starting to use auto-select, so may be being stupid...

My Excel sheet is for pre-event only, and I need to green up before the scheduled start time to ensure no risk of going in-play when not green.
At the scheduled off, I want to switch immediately to the next race - I don't want to wait for the actual off, or I lose valuable minutes.

Won't zero do the opposite, and switch to the next market when it starts - i.e. is suitbale for an in-lay spreadsheet?

I think it would be useful to have three options:
a) leave current market at: x minutes before current race (where zero means switch at start)
b) leave current market at: actual off of current race
c) switch to next market at: x minutes before next race (where zero means switch at start)

If you set up multiple sheets, e.g. one sheet for each meeting then this won't be such an issue?

Good point - so I use the 'wait until after off' option, and run maybe races 1,5,9 from one tab, and 2,6,10 from another, and so on??
That should work - thanks!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
