Thanks Gary,
I didn't get matched yesterday to see at what odds the lay bet would be submitted, but I think it won't work with this trigger

It always reads the odds of course but please clarify if possible the "timing"
that BA

example
At the time that fires the BACK bets the lay odds are 20 lets say
After I get matched the lay odds are 30

At what odds BA would submit the LAY bet?
(I think the answer is 20 but I would prefer 30 to get matched!)

Sorry, I thought you were asking a different question.

When you use TFn the odds you specify are for the offset bet so no matter what odds you get matched at it will always request the offset bet at the odds you specifiy. You should always ensure your trigger requests to back at higher odds than this otherwise you could end up placing a losing trade instantly.

Yes there is code about this but can you clarify what will happen with the following example (Bear in mind that my tf(n) is always different because I use the formula see previous post )

example
At the time that fires the BACK bets the lay odds are 20 lets say
After I get matched the lay odds are 30

At what odds BA would submit the LAY bet?

Is there a solution to lay at the best odds you can suggest?

The odds are fixed. It will always lay at the odds you specified so if you use BACK-TF20 then it will always request a lay bet at 20.

If you want the offset bet to be relative to what you get matched at then you should not use this trigger, you should use BACK-Tn to lay n ticks lower or BACK-Pn to lay n% lower.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
