Can't run Gruss after todays update - help

Launched Gruss earlier today and quit out. Now trying to launch it Windows is giving me a nice big error saying
'This app can't run on your PC
To find a version for your PC, contact the software publisher'
Only option is to click Close

Running Windows 10 64bit Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.1593)

Noticed that from the date of the BA_Launcher.exe, it updated today 5-sep-17 4:24pm.

Ive tried to manually run the BA_Updater which has updated the date and time of several files but still unable to run Gruss.
Rebooting the PC hasnt helped.

Hi,

Can you try uninstalling via Windows Control Panel.

And then re-installing via the following link:-
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting_Assistant/Betting_Assistant2.msi

bit more information on this issue.
Ive found I can run the software by running the compatibility checker against it and accept the recommended setting to run as a windows 8 program. However it only runs if launched from explorer. Double clicking the desktop icon or menu option gives the 'cant run on this pc' error.

Now that Im in there, despite the modified dates having changed after running the ba_updater manually, the software is reporting
ver 1.3.0.38k.

Ive just uninstalled that version and reinstalled from the msi linked to, which is showing up as ver 1.3.0.38n. That launches and runs, although it is still running in windows 8 mode. Not sure if that's because windows remembered what Id changed before or if thats how it gets installed from the msi, but it does launch from the desktop icon.
