Advanced charting

Postby BruceLeet » Tue Jun 06, 2017 1:35 pm

Hi, is it somehow possible for Gruss to use 2 charts at the same time (for example Betfair's standard chart and OHLC chart)? As far as I can tell I only have an option to use one of 4 chart types.

Hi,

Yes you can have all the different charts if you want.
You just need to click on the Selection Name to open the chart for that selection and choose the chart type and then click on the Selection Name again to open another chart window for the same selection.

Thanks, couldn't find how to do it myself. So to be perfectly clear on the ladder interface I can only use one type of graph by default (at the bottom). If I want additional graph types the only way to do it is to open up a new window just like you've said?

Hi,

The one at the bottom of the Ladder is a fixed chart.
But you can open other charts for the same selection in separate floating windows.
From the Fixed Ladder window click on the chart icon next to the selection name to the right of the ladders.
Or if you are using the pop-up ladders then click on the selection name from the Grid.
Or using either Ladder formats you could have the same selection on 2 Ladders and have a different chart at the bottom of each ladder.

Regards,
Mark

Yeah, I found it after your first reply, no problem. I just thought it was worth asking if there was another way to do it (to add a second fixed chart somewhere on the ladder interface without opening new floating windows) in case I missed something. But looks like I didn't, thanks very much for the fast and detailed response.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
