BA freezing and bleeping

Postby siony1974 » Thu Aug 04, 2016 10:15 pm

Had no problems with BA for Betdaq until today. Running the latest version (1.3.0.37a).
When I open it and log in all looks well. I can load up the quick pick list and choose a horse race.
If I click on a horse to place a bet using the grid interface(verify bets is ticked) the screen changes as though it's put the £2.00 bet on the horse but it didn't bring up the verify bet pop up screen and my balance doesn't change.
From that point on anything I try and click on just makes a bleep noise, everything seems frozen and the only way I can shut BA down is through Task Manager.
I have tried an uninstall/re-install of BA but it's still the same.

Any ideas what is going on?

Hi,

Sounds like the "Verify Bets" confirmation window is appearing off screen which would make the software look like it was frozen if you then tried to click on anything.
Open Betting Assistant and before trying to place a bet, go to the Options Menu and click on "Reset Place Bet Popup Position".
Hopefully that fixes the problem.

Regards,
Mark

So easy when you know how.
Re-setting the pop up fixed it.
Many thanks for your swift reply.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
