Postby bolpx001 » Mon Mar 21, 2016 5:01 pm

Can anybody help/explain/advise I did an BSP lay on 'Behind the Wire' for 210 Euros but for some reason it was reduced to 188.61 Anybody any ideas why this happened. I have noticed it before but was to busy to pursue it - all help comments appreciated - Paul

You will never know what the bfsp WILL finally be
It depens on the time you make your bet , closer to off closer to the bfsp you see (odds movement)
It also depens on the money at either side - back, lay - sitting for bfsp (like your 210) wich you can not find out how much they are

Thanks for the reply alrodopial, but that is not what is happening. I Layed two best at about 10:30am for a liability of 210 each It took them and no issue about an hour before the race I noticed on my phone that the liability had dropped to 188.61 on one bet but the other other lay bet I had also done at 10:30 for still 210. I layed the 188.61 one again at BSP to bring it back up to 210 At the off my liability for each race was 210 which was what I originally wanted. What I am not understanding is why it dropped an hour before the off to 188.61?

If there's a non runner after you've placed the bet Betfair will reduce your liability by the non runners reduction factor.

Thank you Captain Sensible, I thought something like that was at play. I might place the lay at bsp bets closer to the off - Thanks again - Paul

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
