Windows XP , two monitors, BA version 1.3.0.15
I normally have a few tabs open and the associated TeamA, Draw, TeamB Price/Volume odds windows open.
Everything runs as normal as I trade football matches for hours on end.
I check other stats or watch the matches on a Mac at the same time.
Then I will notice that the screen doesn't appear to be updating odds
When I check the ACTUAL REFRESH counter timer it is stationary.
The program will place bets into the market after I have clicked the mouse but the screen will not update.
However CLOSE ALL POSITIONS doesn't seem to work.
The XP PC is still connected to the internet, the chrome browser also running on the XP PC can open new web pages and is fully functional.
When this first happened a week or two back I closed and restarted BA which fixed the problem but takes too much time when in the middle of trading. So I tried switching to a new market in the same tab to see if I could get it to refresh.
Say, switching from MATCH ODDS to the adjacent NEXT GOAL market.
This will do nothing immediately and BA still looks hung. Then if I wait for what seems like maybe 30+ seconds BA can suddenly jump back into life and run as normal.
While BA is in it's hung state if I drag a browser window over the top of the BA window it leaves a trail of the moving browser window and obliterates the view of BA.
This does seem to be a BA issue as everything else is OK.
Any help would be appreciated as it is quite an irritation.
So far no big losses though thank God, only £1.32 lost on the Lens v Toulouse match.
No Jokes please about betting on Toulouse!
Thanks

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.
Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.
Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.
He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.
We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
