Hi,

If you are having a problem uninstalling the old version then try using the tool that Microsoft have on their support website.

See http://support2.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

Just an idea - to me the simplist thing would be to click the BA installation program
again and install then see if it appears in Programs and features? The other advantage
is that if the BA installer actually picks up that you already have it installed then you will
be offered the choice of Repair or Remove anyway?

Thanks for that. Just some feedback.
Trying to loan the new version first, did not work because when I tried to run it, the startup reverted to the old version (identified by the old icon) and of course would not respond.
The Microsoft support link did the trick. Ran that and then reloaded the new version and all seems to be OK although I have not used it yet. I mainly run BA in conjunction with exel so if that works tomorrow it will be all sweet.
Thanks for youyr assistance.

I am betting via excel. Betting assistant takes all commands and calculation, however when it comes to the stake, it always takes 2 euro, despite my different commands.

I am using dutch betting formulas and I make 2 or more bets at the same time. Is it because the 2 euro is smallest ammount I can bet in new version? I am almost sure I would be able to test my sheets with smaller stakes in old version, so I guess it must be a bug or something?

I had that problem too. Gary solved it for me successfully. You only have to download a new version. The download link is found at the end of page 12 of the thread "Betting Assistant New Version" in the subforum Announcements.

Thanks Mate:)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
