Stop loss trigger

Postby danjuma » Tue May 24, 2011 7:30 pm

Hi Gary,

I am using the following trigger in column Q: "LAY-TL50-SL50-L".

The lay bet and back offset bet get fired, but the stop loss trigger is not firing even when the odds have reduced to the stop loss odds. I am using a condition that inputs "CANCEL-ALL-LAY" in col Q once a lay bet has been matched, and this seems to also clear the bet ref of the matched lay bet in col T. Is this why the stop loss trigger is not firing, i.e. should there be a bet ref against the layed selection in col T for it to fire?

Thanks

There doesn't need to be a bet ref, but CANCEL-ALL-LAY cancels the stop loss. To prevent this happening append -KO (keep offset). So it should be CANCEL-ALL-LAY-KO

For anyone else reading this the -KO modifier is only available in the Beta version.

Thanks Gary.

Managed to work round it by applying a condition that prevents CANCEL-ALL-LAY being applied to the layed bet. However, your suggestion above is better and I will use that. Thanks for the quick response as usual. :)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
