Q- Excel In Play SL trigger and change odds on unmatched

Postby aubweaver » Sat Apr 02, 2011 6:26 am

Hi,
1. Checking my assumption is correct. If you have a Stop Loss trigger modifier set up and your bet ends up in a positive situation then the stop loss is effectively null and void? ie LAY with SL ended up less than BACK.

2. If there's an unmatched or pending bet and the odds have moved out of that bets parameter LAY req. odds 5, but they're now at say 9. Can you just change the odds in column 'R' or does the bet need - 'CANCEL' then 'CLEAR' and redoing? or is there a way to do this in excel?
Cheers,
Peter

It could still trigger if it goes back into a negative position unless you also use the tick offset modifier and the offset bet is matched.

You can use the 'UPDATE' trigger. Specify the new odds in column R.

Thanks Gary,
Even better than I thought, if it enters into a negative position it will activate.
I think, I hope I've set up the UPDATE trigger to work as I want, I'll test it tonight.
Thanks,
Peter.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
