Postby danjuma » Tue Sep 29, 2009 8:05 pm

Gary,

Would you be kind enough please and explain the difference between the above new option and the normal level profit. With an example please if possible.

Thanks

It's briefly mentioned in the following faq http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3444 where I mention how it is calculated in our competitor's products. We will add a clear example to the user guide.

I have problem with this option. If I tick this option font of level profit is very bold and i can't see what is my profit in level profit section.

Second problem : If I make back bet and try greening up clicking on level profit I can't make Lay bet with correct "green" profit.

If I make Lay bet first and try greening up clicking on Level profit all is ok.

Gary can you help me ?

I use BA 1.1.0.63j

Thanks for your video. It makes it very clear what the problem is.

The stop loss problem is fixed in version 1.1.0.63j
Would you prefer an option to turn off the bold text?
I have fixed the problems where it does not allow you to green up properly and will release an update later today. The only exception is you still will not be able to green up if it requires a back bet at odds of 1000 below €2 because of the way it has to “cheat” to place the bet: the first step of the “cheat” is to place a back bet for €2 at 1000, the €2 will get matched immediately which would prevent it from working.

Ok Gary,

I am still a bit confused about this - Level profit based on individual selection.

When this option is ticked in preferences, and I then hover my cursor on the cells in the level profit column, the cells display two figures - one in big fonts, and one in small fonts by the bottom right-hand corner of the big font one. Now which is which or what do they mean, and how is it applied, because when clicked on a cell, nothing happened?

Thanks
Dan

The big figure is the future overall P&L. This is what the P&L column will show if you take the level profit. The small figure is the profit or loss you will be locking in on that individual selection ignoring the P&L you may have on other selections. If there are figures displayed then a bet should be placed when you click on it. If nothing happens then I will need a screensot which includes all the bets visible in the bets manager so I can replicate your position.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
