Updating potential losses and profit?

Postby doyin13 » Wed Dec 02, 2009 1:44 pm

Hi. . .

I currently am trying out the trial version. The product description suggests once a bet is placed, the software shows potential profits or losses at each price. Unfortunately the feature doesn't seem be present on my version.

Hi,

Do you mean for greening up?

If so, you need to move the mouse cursor over the level profit column to see the profit or loss that can be taken if you click on it.

Regards,
Mark

Hi & Welcome doyin13 :)

are you looking for "Display level profit column"?

Options>Preferences>Ladder interface> then tick "Display level profit column"

My apologies if this was not your query?

All the best - Michael :)

oops.. .it does centre automatically. I actually meant to ask about the prices scrolling up and down to the centred price automatically without the need to click the interface

Wouldn't that be a dangerous thing? Just as you click it moves and you request the price you didn't want

One possibility is to centre automatically only if mouse isn't over that particular ladder area. - I personally think it's safer to avoid auto centering altogether though. Reminds me of a poker game I used to have on my phone where the 'All In' button used to appear out of nowhere which I always pressed :)

Relating to this, how does the centring work when the market is sparse? Eg if the only money on the back side is at 10.0 and the only money on the lay is at 20.0; Is there an option to centre separately on the back or lay

It centres on the last traded price. If there hasn't yet been a trade then it will center on the price halfway between the back and lay prices.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
