Backing under min stake

Postby Yorkie » Sat Nov 28, 2009 9:08 pm

Hi all

I've got plenty of systems running thru BA at the moment but they are all lay systems, some of them are new and are using stakes under the betfair minimum. BA is doing it's job and getting those in for me.

I've decided to try something out on backing for a change but when i get BA to put my back bets in under minimum stake it's getting stuck at the £2@1000 point. The bets then get cancelled at the off. The bets are fired in well under the current odds so should have no trouble getting matched

As i say all lays under min stake are working fine.

Anyone any ideas?

Follow up

I had the spreadsheet firing bets on all the runners but only 3 of them had any odds or stake to fire, those that didn't just came up as ERROR but those that did fired in ok then got stuck. By changing it so that only the selections with odds and stake fire seems to have cured it. I don't know if it's just because of the number of ERROR bets causing the problem or if a single ERROR bet would have done it also. If it's the former it's not a problem but if it's the latter maybe it needs checking out.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
