Dutching correct scores

Postby Redders » Wed Oct 28, 2009 10:29 am

Hi cannot work this out ?? I chose my six correct scores , then clicked to the right of the dutching tick to make the box go green ..

This I assume makes this a no lose no win score , did this on 3 scores submitted the bet only 2 scores have now come up and I am in the red with the other ones any ideas ??

Thanks Redders

Maybe there was an error placing the other bets. If you view the transaction log under the account menu does it list the dutch bets it placed and show any errors in the API response column?

Had you closed the program and re-opened it? It only logs bets in the current session so they would disappear if you re-opened it since. If you haven't then there must be at least something there for the two bets it did place. Did you happen to notice at the time if it had actually placed 6 bets or only 2 by looking at the bets manager at the bottom of the screen?

What I am trying to establish is did it only place 2 bets or place 6 and did not give the result you wanted.

Ok Gary ,, yes I have closed and re-opened the system .

Ok it placed all six bets but not the result I wanted . I was before placing the bets in green on 3 profit on 3 .. When I placed the bets was red on 4 only in profit if they win on 2 ??

Had you already got bets in the market before you placed the dutch bet?

Is it possible to send me a screenshot showing the 6 bets in the bets manager and your P&L so I can get a clearer picture of what you are saying?

The dutching feature works. At least give me a chance to look into it before dismissing it. You can still send me a list of the 6 bets including stake and odds from your statement so I can simulate your P&L and try and get a handle on what happened.

It doesn't sound like you did do anything wrong. I've just tested it on a correct score market and can't see a problem. Without the list of bets I haven't got anything to go on.

Have had a look at the main Betfair log the 2 correct scores that showed profit were matched at 09 16 hours the four other correct scores were matched at 09.33 .

I submitted these all togethor with the dutching button on Gruss , and straight away they showed red figures on 4 correct scores , and green figures on 2 scores that were matched at 09.16 .

Got a headache now !

Thanks for you help

So they weren't all matched initally? When you submit the bets it's not guaranteed they will be matched straight away, the same as if you had placed them manually. If only two were matched initially then that's why the other 4 were red.

Thanks for your time with this I will try it again later .

Have a good one in Warrington on Thursday

sorry to be a pain

I use the dutching feature week-in week-out on the English Premiership Half Time correct score market and I've never had a problem. The only time I've seen 'red' figures against some of the bets I've placed is when they haven't all been completely matched - But this is easy enough to spot in the Bets Manager Grid

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
