Conditional bet help

Postby chandla » Tue Aug 04, 2009 6:00 pm

When using the conditional bet function,is it possible to set up a liability rather then use stake? My reasoning for this is the market which i want to use this in has low liquidity and so someone may put in a request for lower then what i am asking for.

Just to clarify.

A market has just opened,no bets have been matched and i am prepared to lay my selection for a price for below 4.0 for a liability of £10. using the stake function i would have to enter £3.33.

However if someone comes in with a request for my selection @ 3.0 if my max laibility is £10 then i would be able to match for £5.

Appologies if this is confusing and thanks in advance for any help.

It's not currently possible, but I'll try and get it into the next update of the pre-release version for you to try. It will be few days.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
