Target.Columns.Count Guidance

Postby osknows » Thu Jul 30, 2009 12:13 am

Sorry for so many questions today but really getting into this now :)

Is anyone able to let me know how the refresh works in relation to the Target.Columns.Count?

I understand the 16 column count price refresh but I also see Target.Columns.Count with values 5 and 10 - what columns are these refreshing?

Also, what if I select additional columns in the Excel/log current prices; does this incrementally add to the 16 each refresh or is each selection handled differently on a seperate refesh?

Thank you,
Os

The 5 column refresh is where it updates the bet ref, bet time, average matched odds, average matched stake and P&L.

I'm not sure why you are getting a 10 column count. Can you let me know what the values of Target.Row and Target.Column are for these and I will tell you what they are updating.

If you add additional columns they are updated in the same update as the 5 columns so for each additional column it will increase.

I recommend that you use the 16 column update event to make changes to the trigger column.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
