Other data from API for Excel

Postby alfaman » Fri Aug 15, 2014 12:06 pm

Hello,

I am a total newbie to Gruss, although not to triggered betting.

I am hoping to use the Betdaq Assistant which I have downloaded and experimented with for well, minutes now, and developed a simple VBA tool.

I am aware that with Betfair there is information available over the API such as their own price forecast and information on the horse - hcap weight, days since last run etc.

Can anyone tell me if this is available to use in Excel with Gruss and also whether Betdaq offers anything similar?

Thanks

Hello,

When you connect to Excel using Excel/Log Current Prices there is a box to the right named Additional Columns. Tick the ones you want to see in the sheet.

OK I have answered that by downloading Betting Assistant for Betfair and can see the additional information in that one.

Second question, in Betdaq you can have a page for MyBets on the spreadsheet - I cannot find this in the Betfair version - is there an equivalent?

Tanks

OK I have found that now too, I must have been going blind not to spot it.

Sorry, I didn't read your post properly. Additional columns is only available in the Betfair version.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
