Problems with Tagadab/Api today

Postby ddaann » Thu Nov 10, 2011 4:06 pm

Anyone else having problems with jumpy API using Tagadab today - it also happened occasionally during last few days.
At the same time, my connection through Logmein is also jumpy (occasionally freezing for a while) - never had this problem for the past year I've been using Tagadab.

What do you know, few minutes after my original post, things returned to normal. Still I'd like to hear if anyone else had problems with Tagadab.

Tagadab had a network issue today. Details are on the status page of the website:

http://www.tagadab.com/uk/servicestatus

In short, the primary connection failed and we moved automatically to a secondary link. The secondary link had a packet loss problem which we did not know about because we never use it.

The primary link was restored and the packet loss problem on the secondary link was solved shortly afterwards. The total time was about 2 hours starting from 13:25 this afternoon.

My apologies that this problem caused you service to be affected. It's always checking that status page if you see a problem.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
