Exact Matchs in Trigger Sheet

Postby Happy Harry » Sat Jun 04, 2011 1:14 pm

A little issue has started to come up with Horse Racing in Australia and here is an example from today. Here is the line in the Selections Spreadsheet for a Horse

12. Sol Doro $100.00 BACK-SP 999 1000

The bet was placed no problem.

What came back in the results though was

1261988850 12. Sol DOro B -100 38.2 RESULT_LOST

Note the difference in the spelling of the horse with the capital "O" in the middle of DOro in the results and the small "O" in Doro in the selections.

I thought that in order for a bet to trigger the spelling had to be perfect but is that not the case and is the trigger not case sensitive ?

Thanks

HH

SOL D'ORO

this is the runner you speak of, i think the " ' " in the second name was the cause, when ever i am formating a name for look up i know i have to search and remove this for it to work as betfair does not include them.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
