LAY @ 3Ticks Below Current Last Matched.

Postby Happy Harry » Mon May 02, 2011 3:39 am

What I want to do is allow the Market to open at the default 1 minute, then put a Lay in the market @ 3 Ticks below the last matched and also keep it as an SP bet if it is not matched.

So, if the market tightens and then goes out I get the Lay in at the better price than SP.

Currently the Lay bets that I am doing are simply SP lay bets using

$40.00 LAY-SP 1.1 2

If possible I don't want to alter the formulae in columns AA through AI of the default spreadsheet too much as I am also placing simultaneous BACK bets @ SP.

Thanks

I created some VBA code to add or subtract ticks. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =plusticks

Many thanks for that.

All very interesting and doesn't totally complete what I need to do however this is a learning journey. I had no idea that Excel was capable of doing things that easily.

Should be able to do what you asked for

What I want to do is allow the Market to open at the default 1 minute,

Monitor the time to the off in D2 or auto select markets 1 min before the off

then put a Lay in the market @ 3 Ticks below the last matched

minusTicks(O5,3) in your triggered odds column will give you 3 ticks below the last matched price in O5

and also keep it as an SP bet if it is not matched.

LAY-SP in the trigger cell will ensure it's a keep bet

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
