Gruss Software Upgrade

Postby raldridge » Sun Feb 13, 2011 1:54 am

I was informed by the people at TSM ( The Staking Machine ) that the Gruss
Betting Assistant software was being upgraded to work with the new version
of TSM which no longer requires the Excel CSV files when automating betting
between TSM/BA?.

Could you give me any idea when this will be completed?.

I need software that will allow me to enter all of my bets in the morning of the race day and it would lay bet these bets in the afternoon automatically providing the price odds are in the price band can be obtained on Betfair?.

Example lay the horses in the day's list if they are $10 through $15 inclusive at the 60 second mark before the race is scheduled to start.

The list of horses would be across different gallop meetings on the day.

I am hoping the TSM/BA combo will allow this?.

In other words complete unattended betting in the afternoon whilst one is
away?.

You will have to send any messages regarding TSM to their support.

Unless you actually need to use a staking plan then you may not need to run anything in conjunction with BA, BA should be all you need if you have Excel on your PC. See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=3557

If you want to avoid Excel then BA is not your solution.

Hi Gary,

You must get up early as I received your message just after 5pm Australian eastern summer time just after 6am UK time on Sunday

When you say no staking plan, well I want to lay bets at level $2 units so I possibly could use BA without TSM and have BA place the bets from a daily
list of horses if the odds are say $10 to $15, 60 seconds before race scheduled start.

I will have to study BA to see if I can do this?.

Your BA program looks very good indeed.

The example I linked to explains how to link the example spreadsheet to BA so you may already be able to do what you want without studying. If it doesn't do exactly what you require then you will need to study the spreadsheet to see how it works and then read the BA user guide to see if it's possible.

Gruss Software Upgrade

Postby raldridge » Wed Feb 16, 2011 8:21 am

I think my correspondent was referring to the Beta version of Gruss BA.

I saw there was a Beta version of Gruss BA upgraded on Feb 14th 2011 listed somewhere on the Gruss BA website.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
