What Is Betting Assistant Writing to Cell J3?

Postby Village » Tue May 18, 2010 1:24 pm

With Betting Assistant writing to a spreadsheet, the top left hand cell set to A1, I've noticed that cell J3 now holds a character, examples being L, F, 5 and 7, depending on the event. Can anyone explain their significance please?

Hi,

Cell J3 displays number of markets below current market in quick pick list if not the first or last market. If it is the first then F and L for the last.

Regards,
Mark

Doh! I wonder how long I’d have taken to work that out. It was certainly quicker to ask on here. Thanks for the speedy reply Mark.

Just a suggestion, I suppose it should go in the Suggestions category, but since Mark's explanation made me think of it, I'll tag it on here:

It would be nice if Betting Assistant warned you if the current market wasn't last in the quick pick list for each tab when you close it, similarly to how it gives a warning if there is any exposure outstanding.

PS Perhaps only warning if the current market isn't last in the quick pick list when auto select market is on.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
