I had the same experience a few days ago. I had two tabs open, both on the correct score market for soccer. When the market is in play I will flick between these tabs constantly. I have worked this way for well over a thousand markets and for the first time I swapped tabs to find that the order of the options had completely changed. As I was franticly working in play I had no time to try to work what was going on so I closed the tab and openned another.

Since reading the above I have played with the sort order option to find that it seems to have the same effect as what I saw that evening but I am as certain as I can be that I had not touched this option. I don't think I ever had. I couldn't work out why one tab was unchanged and the other had done this.

Hi :)

I have read carefully this sort order question and have found that the
sort order will NOT change completely on it's own but...

Have discovered that if you click it and whether you change the sort order
or not then the order stays highlighted (live) and if you scroll the centre
mouse wheel at any point with the cursor just below, level with or above
the sort order drop down then it could well change the sort order without
you noticing - could this have been possible for you?
Maybe Gary may want to take a look?

Ttfn - Michael

P.S. This appears to be regardless of whether you click anywhere else on the screen or not?

It sounds likely. I wil disable the mouse wheel on this drop down.

I am absolutely certain the order cannot change without this option.

That's interesting because it is exactly what happened to me. It was when I switched between tabs. I've used BA for ages and it has never happened before but then twice in 4 days.

The annoying thing is after it happened today I took a printscreen before and after a race to compare the order of runners. Annoyingly I cut the images down to just the list of runners and deleted the larger image - so I cannot check to see if the 'sort order' box was highlighted or not. I have never knowingly clicked it and didn't even know it was there. Maybe it should be hidden out of the way on the betting options tab?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
