Just saw this (I don't look at forums much) - I'm doing OK. The first few months of the year were poor, but then they're always the worst. At the moment I'm doing well enough although not spectacularly.

I changed my modus opperandi recently to a system that facilitates a lot more data collection and that's beginning to pay off as my latest generation of bots is doing terrifically well, although with only 2 months behind them and limited scaling it's too early to say anything definitive about them.

For me it goes in cycles of pessimism when I have a poor spell followed by joy when I get it licked again, usually with some new innovation or understanding that I didn't have before. I think you can always make money, it's just a matter of whether you can figure out where the value is and adapt as things change.

Ultimately I'll always carry on as long as my returns are greater then my server costs.

Alot of my inplay bots are just stats based and can't say I've noticed any big changes to be honest. If you're playing by reacting to the prices on offer I'd guess alot is down to more efficient track side players which generally increase in the summer months especially in the shorter races like eclipse states. Plus the NH stuff is appalling this time of year and so many 3 runners fields it gets so hard to predict

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
