Incorrect times for horse racing

Postby Snowman54 » Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:35 pm

Hi Gary & Russell,

My brother at my suggestion took up your 30 day free trial with a view to becoming a monthly subscriber.

having followed all instructions correctly he found tht the times for the horse racing showed the first race as starting @ 5.10 on 16th October when in fact it was 14.10. I got him to uninstall BA and reinstall it and went through the set up step by step with the same result. I even went through the same procedure on my computer and although I got the correct times his was stil showing 05.10. I had him check that computer was on correct time which it was and had him go into betfair direct and again the race time were correct @ 14.10 onwards.

Any sufggestion as to why this has happened would be appreciated.

Kindest regards

Snowman

Betting Assistant relies on the correct date, time and timezone being set on your computer. Please check these settings. I suspect in your brother's case that the timezone is wrong (it doesn't matter if it's showing the correct time if the timezone is not correct).

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
