Trading Mode

Postby nigelbleddfa » Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:37 pm

I am trying to learn as much as I can about automated trading and am using different programs. Tonight, I switched one on failing to realise that it would screw up my green position earned by using Betting Assistant. I was forced to download a copy of another software to "green up". This was due to my own ignorance of using Betting assistant.

Could somebody please tell me how to "green up" with Betting Assistant so as to provide equal profits ? The specific example related to the Over 2.5 goal market in the Villareal V Bruges game. The trading mode option does not allow a mixture of lay and back bets. I felt, rightly, that there would be a third goal and, having screwed up my original bets, I found myself in a position where my profit would have been greater if a third goal had not been scored.

Is it possible to equalise profits , over or under, in a simple way, please ? I didn't have the time to sit down with pen and paper and do my own calculations tonight.

See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewt ... ading+mode for an explanation of trading mode.

I recommend you don't use trading mode. Just leave it unticked. You can green up by simply moving the cursor over the level profit column next to the selection you want to green up. The level profit column will show you what your future P&L column will be if you click on the level profit to green up.

Here's a short video showing the level profit column in action.

Thanks for your help, Gary. I had greened up properly but in switching on another software I had inadvertently placed another bet which did not give me level profit. Only a few quid involved so no big deal moneywise but realised i wasn't as familiar with your software as I thought I was :D

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
