Horse racing markets

Postby SMARTHUSTLE » Mon Sep 06, 2010 7:28 pm

Dear Sirs,

Is it possible for you to make an easy change to Gruss that would improve and help matters greatly ?

The change is this: Could you add a feature on your horse racing markets whereby you can close down a runner completely ?

There are multiple reasons for this:

1. It makes markets that have a huge amount of runners far more manangeable.

2. It completely erdaicates the danger of accidentally placing bets on horses that cannot win, such as horses that have already fallen but are still being laid at a 1000-1 and reduces the danger of other mistakes such as mistaking a horses colours.

I think this would radically improve Gruss and would be a relatively simple thing to install.

Would gruss be willng to do this ? I would be very grateful for feedback on this subject.

We are planning to do this. I cannot put a timescale on this at present. In the meantime there is an option on the market menu called "Hide selections over a given price".

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
